Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details

• Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: August 26, 2024
• End Date: November 25, 2024
• Unit: 4 South – Med/Surg Telemetry Unit
• Shift: 3x12 hour day shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1990 - $2130 per week
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Ability to start by August 26, 2024
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor, assess, and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care
• Accurately document all patient care activities in the electronic medical record (EMR)
