Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Thoracic Transplant ICU position requiring an IN or compact RN license and strong cardiac ICU skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Cardiovascular Thoracic Transplant ICU within a hospital setting
- Care for cardiac medical and surgical patients, including transplant cases
- Manage cardiac devices as part of daily responsibilities
- Handle a patient ratio of 1:2 in the ICU
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- 13-week assignment
- Responsibilities include advanced cardiac care and management of critically ill patients
- Familiarity with cardiac devices is expected
- Local candidates are accepted but may be offered a different rate depending on proximity to the facility
- COVID-19 vaccine is not required
- All positions are offered on an auto offer basis
- Travelers should begin discussing extension options 45 days before assignment end date
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Certification required
- Verification through Nursys required within 30 days prior to start
- Candidates must have a valid US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Copy of Driver’s License required
- Two professional references required
