• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Start Date: December 29, 2025
• End Date: March 30, 2026
• Duration: 13-week travel contract
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:3-5
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950 – $2,090

PCU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state (Virginia nursing license required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg), or Oncology nursing
• Experience with Med-Surg, oncology, hospice, CHF, COPD, pneumonia, and ETOH patients preferred
• Proficiency with BIPAP, nurse-driven diuretic protocols, peritoneal dialysis, and IV Glucommander is a plus
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in a progressive care and oncology setting
• Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions including CHF, COPD, pneumonia, and hospice needs
• Utilize advanced clinical equipment and protocols such as BIPAP, peritoneal dialysis, and IV Glucommander
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare standards
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families throughout their hospital stay
