Neonatology Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) in this role provide daily care for newborns in a Level 1 nursery with around 600 annual deliveries and an average daily census of 5 infants. Responsibilities include conducting daily rounds, attending deliveries as requested, stabilizing newborns, and coordinating their transport to higher-level NICUs when necessary. On-call duties from home and optional supplemental shifts at a Level III NICU are also part of the position.
