American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position at a Level 1 trauma center with rotating call and specific AHA certifications required.
Responsibilities- Position is in the PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) within a Level 1 trauma center
- Shift schedule is 14:30-23:00
- Rotating night and weekend call required
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- Responsibilities include providing care for post-anesthesia and surgical patients in a high-acuity setting
- Team-based environment with support from experienced clinicians
- COVID vaccination is no longer required for this assignment
- All candidates are subject to a radius rule, with local candidates eligible at a reduced pay rate depending on location
- First-time travelers are considered
- Two professional references are required for consideration
- Active Kansas or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent PACU experience required
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale and MOAB Moderate Risk De-Escalation Training certifications required
- Nursys license verification and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Must provide a valid US Social Security Number and US home address
