Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with high-risk Labor & Delivery experience and prior travel experience for a night shift position requiring a NJ or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Labor & Delivery unit of a large hospital
- Patient population includes high-risk pregnancies
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three shifts per week
- Assignment duration is 13 weeks
- EPIC is used for charting
- Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital if needed
- Duties include comprehensive assessments, direct patient care, documentation, patient education, and use of emergency equipment
- Must deliver safe, competent, and individualized nursing care for high-risk labor and delivery cases
- Responsible for following National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocols
- Maintain professionalism, patient confidentiality, and positive communication with patients and families
- Holiday coverage may be required depending on unit needs
- Scrub or dress code requirements will follow hospital standards
Requirements
- Active NJ or compact RN license is required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred
- Previous travel RN experience in high-risk Labor & Delivery within large hospital settings is required
- At least 50 miles residential distance from the facility; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
- Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred
