Our client, located in Allendale, Michigan, is seeking an experienced welder to join their team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with Stick, MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum surfaces.
Job Title: Fabricator / Assistant Lead
Hours: 8am-4:30pm (some overtime required-coming in early) Mon-Fri.
Location:Allendale
Pay Range: DOE

What’s the Job?
- Interpret and work from blueprints, sketches and fabrication drawings. ****Primarily MIG welding*******
- Perform welding on carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum components using Stick, MIG and TIG applications.
- Set up, operate and maintain welding equipment, jigs and fixtures
- Ensure weld quality aligns w/AWS/ASME standards and company tolerance specs.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area, following all safety protocols.
What’s Needed?
3+ yrs fabrication experience in a fabrication shop.
- Proficiency in one or more welding processes;SMAW, GMAW, FCAW,GTAW
- Experience with sheet metal welding and structural steel.
- Capability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with welding code standards (e.g. AWS D1, ASME Section IX).
- Must have own weld helmet, welding gloves, tape measure 12' or longer, combination square.
