Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on a 48-bed telemetry unit (4A and 4B)
• Work every other weekend (2 weekends per 4-week schedule)
• Holiday requirement includes working 2 days and 1 evening or 2 evenings and 1 day for Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving
• Float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified
• Navy blue scrubs required
• One shift of unit orientation provided
• Self-scheduling system used with manager balancing final schedules
• Cancellation policy allows 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must have experience reading basic telemetry strips and interpreting strips at least once per shift
• Experience needed with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA, and TIA
• Cerner charting system experience recommended
• Care for patients with COVID, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, telemetry, TIA, CVA, and general/orthopedic/spinal surgical patients
• Work with respiratory equipment including BiPap, CPAP, high flow, and breathing treatments
• Charge nurse available without patient assignment
• Nurse aides available with 1:10-15 ratio
• No call or standby requirements
• No drip titration required
