Locum-to-Perm Hematology/Oncology Specialist: Full-Time Days in Indiana We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hematology/Oncology Specialist for a locum to permanent position near Hobart, Indiana. This role offers a unique opportunity to join and develop a new service line, focusing on high-quality outpatient care for adult and geriatric patients. Position Overview Role: Hematology/Oncology Specialist (Locum-to-Permanent) Location: Near Hobart, Indiana Duration: Locum coverage from March 2026 to March 2027, with the potential for permanent transition. Setting: 100% Outpatient Clinic/Office Work Schedule & Duties Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM Weekend/Call: None required. Caseload: Average of 30 patients per day, with a 50/50 split between Hematology and Oncology cases. Procedures: Perform required procedures, including management of VAD/CV catheters and bone marrow biopsies. Other Responsibilities: Manage bone marrow transplants, participate in tumor boards, oversee chemotherapy administration (supported by a nurse oncologist), and manage blood bank interactions. EMR: EPIC documentation system. Requirements Board Certification (BC): Required in Hematology/Oncology. Licensure: Active Indiana State License (Required) or ability to obtain one quickly.
