Travel & lodging reimbursed; malpractice covered for locum role. Locum tenens Internal Medicine physician (Hematology/Oncology) in Maryland. Mon–Fri 8am–5pm with rotating weekend call every 4–5 weekends; weekday call 2–3 days/month. Start Jan 15, 2025; ongoing. Inpatient/outpatient mix; Epic EMR; temp hospital privileges. - Maryland medical license or IMLC eligibility - Board certified in Hematology and Oncology; completed fellowship - ACLS, ATLS, BLS - Experience in stroke-certified facilities preferred - Comfortable with inpatient/outpatient care and call responsibilities

We are seeking a qualified physician for a locum tenens position in Maryland, specializing in Internal Medicine with a focus on Hematology and Oncology. This assignment offers a mix of inpatient and outpatient care in a dynamic environment. Assignment Details: Start Date: January 15, 2025 Duration: Ongoing Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (includes a lunch break from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) Weekend call coverage: rotating every 4-5 weekends Weekday call coverage: 2-3 days per month, with an NP taking first call on weekdays Practice Setting: Both inpatient and outpatient EMR System: Epic Patients Per Shift: Approximately 20 Call Requirements: Call ratio: 1:4 Response time: 30 minutes Call consults: 2 per shift (average) Requirements: Licensure: Maryland license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) eligibility Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS required Board Certification: Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology Fellowship Training: Required Hospital Privileges: Temporary privileges available Experience with Stroke-Certified Facilities: Preferred Support Staff: 10 RNs 5 Medical Assistants 3 Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners 6 Office Staff Additional Benefits: Travel and lodging expenses reimbursed Malpractice insurance provided This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment with flexible scheduling and robust administrative support.
