Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a TX or compact RN license, with at least 2 years of recent L&D experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a Labor and Delivery unit in a hospital setting
- Day shifts available: 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
- Facility will consider applicants for 36 or 48 hours per week
- Floating may be required to another campus or floor within the facility
- Preference for candidates with prior experience using Altera EMR, though not required
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- A thorough drug screen is completed upon arrival, including screening for marijuana and CBD products
- Expect completion of online modules during orientation, averaging 6-8 hours
- Two references from supervisors within the last three years of employment required
- Required certifications must be current and verifiable at the time of consideration
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
- A minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience required
- 3 years of experience preferred
- Ability to complete mandatory facility drug screen upon arrival
- Must reside at least 150 miles from the facility
- Previous permanent staff must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Clinicians must be available to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance
