The role includes weekday clinic hours, weekend on-call duties, and requires hospital privileges as well as teaching responsibilities. The position supports collaborative care with advanced practice providers, nurses, and specialty teams, featuring use of EMR and supportive oncology services.
Billings Clinic Main Campus (North 29th St.) is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist to provide locum coverage during a maternity leave vacancy. Assignment DetailsDates: October 15, 2025 March 15, 2026 with possible extension
Commitment: 4 weeks per month preferred (minimum 2 weeks/month considered)
Schedule:
Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch, 8.5 hours/day)
Weekday Clinic + Call
24-Hour Weekend Call
Practice Setting: Outpatient, Inpatient, Telehealth
Cases: Hematology and solid tumor oncology
Rounding: Both inpatient and outpatient required
Privileges: Hospital privileges required
EMR: Cerner
Advanced Practice Provider coverage in the clinic and hospital
Nurse navigator support
Supportive & Palliative Care team
Onsite Radiation Oncology and Infusion Center
Teaching and resident supervision required
Facility: Level 1 Trauma, Level 3 Pediatrics
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology (fellowship required)
