This position involves performing medical disability examinations and evaluations primarily for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, focusing on physical medicine and rehabilitation. The role requires Board Certification in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or PM&R and includes conducting general medicine and traumatic brain injury exams without treatment or prescribing. Responsibilities include physical assessments, completing standardized disability reports promptly, and occasional administrative follow-up work on a PRN basis with flexible scheduling and no weekend or on-call duties.

- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
- Two (2) options for coverage Travel and perform exams at leased facility or schedule Veterans within your own practice
- Option to work days(4-hours) and/or full days(8-hours)
- No weekends and no call!
- One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- Quick credentialing & onboarding
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
- Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
- Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).
- Evaluations to be completed in provider portal
- Record review is required in most cases
- Follow up administrative work will be required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics)
