Hours: Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation; no guarantee of hours

We are seeking a highly adaptable Flex Pool Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment supporting multiple acute care units. This role requires strong clinical skills, flexibility, and the ability to float across medical and surgical units while delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care across various medical and surgical units
- Float between Medical, Surgical Acute, and Step-Down–level units as assigned
- Perform patient assessments, monitoring, and documentation
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
- Manage acute care equipment and support patient safety initiatives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Medical Unit: 77 beds
- Surgical Acute Unit: 18 beds
- Cardiovascular Unit: 15 beds (rare floating)
- Medical Unit: 1:6 (days/evenings), 1:8 (nights)
- Surgical Acute: 1:6
- Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4
- Meditech electronic medical record (EMR)
- Pyxis medication dispensing system
- Wound vacs and chest tubes
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience (up to 10 years preferred)
- Active Hawaii RN license required by assignment start
- Candidates without an active license must apply upon offer acceptance
- Strong adaptability and ability to work across multiple care settings
- Proof of required immunizations (medical or religious exemptions not accepted)
- BLS/BCLS required
- ACLS required
- Preferred certifications:
- PALS
- Procedural Sedation
- TNCC

- Professional nursing attire (clean scrubs)
- Unit-specific orientation provided for each assigned department
