Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a PCU RN with cardiovascular experience and a NM or compact RN license for night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 55-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes individuals requiring cardiovascular monitoring and care
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4
- Night shifts with typical hours from 18:30 to 07:00, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Weekend shifts are required on a rotating basis as needed
- Floating to other units is required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses EPIC documentation system; EPIC experience preferred
- Scrub color is flexible but must be logo-free
- Cardiovascular experience is required
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Block scheduling may be available on a case-by-case basis
- Former permanent staff must be gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
- No more than 3 days of requested time off will be auto approved, and no time off is allowed during the first week of orientation
- No travel pairs or groups are accepted
Requirements
- Active NM or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; CPI certification preferred
- 1+ years of recent progressive care or cardiovascular nursing experience required, 2 years preferred
- Prior experience with EPIC charting system preferred
