Job DescriptionJoin our dedicated team as a Med/Surg Tele Nurse in a 14-bed overflow unit that accommodates ED boarder patients. This flex space, located within our GI Endoscopy area, will vary in patient load depending on demand.
Responsibilities- Provide competent nursing care for med/surg tele patients.
- Complete IV placements and manage peripheral line care.
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, using Rapid Response and Code teams as necessary.
- Administer oxygen and facilitate non-invasive airway management.
- Adhere to isolation precautions and ensure patient safety.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in med/surg tele nursing.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Proficiency in using EPIC charting system is essential.
- NYS nursing license required at the time of application.
