Required Skills
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid Texas medical license or be eligible for licensure.
- Board certification or eligibility in Neonatology.
- Proven experience in neonatal intensive care, particularly in Level II NICU settings.
- Ability to perform 24-hour shifts including rounding and on-call responsibilities from home or hotel.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and families.
- Commitment to providing family-centered, compassionate care.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience working towards Level III NICU designation.
- Familiarity with advanced neonatal technologies and electronic medical records.
- Previous work in a hospital partnering with pediatric specialists.
- Bilingual capabilities for enhanced family communication.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Completion of Neonatology fellowship training.
- At least 1-2 years of recent NICU experience in a Level II setting.
Other Requirements
- Coverage needed for specific dates: December 22-28, 31; January 1-5, 11-19; February 1-2, 12-18, 22-23, all from 7 AM to 7 AM shifts.
- Willingness to work varied, 24-hour shifts with call from home or hotel.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Ability to travel to Wichita Falls, TX, as needed, with applicable reimbursements provided.
Compensation for this role is highly competitive, with hourly pay rate at $3,900, complemented by comprehensive benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, medical coverage, paid sick leave, licensure and certification reimbursements, and robust referral bonuses. Orientation will be compensated at 50% of the standard rate, with additional pay for overtime and holidays, all structured to best suit your schedule and needs.
