A healthcare services organization on Long Island is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Urologist to join their team in Suffolk County as their newChief of Urology. Responsibilities: The Chief of Urology will: Provide leadership and direction to the urology department, ensuring that it aligns with the overall goals and mission of the healthcare institution Supervise and coordinate the clinical activities of urologists and other medical staff within the department Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards Develop and implement strategic plans for the urology department, considering advancements in urologic care, technology, and patient needs Manage the financial aspects of the urology department, including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control Monitor and evaluate the quality of urologic services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing measures to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction Oversee educational programs for residents, medical students, and other healthcare professionals within the urology department Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of care Conduct regular performance evaluations for urology department staff, providing feedback and facilitating professional development Develop and implement plans for handling urologic emergencies, ensuring the department is prepared to respond effectively Qualifications: Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York Board Certified in Urology Desired Skills: 3+ years of Urology experience Previous experience in a Leadership and/or Supervisory role Your privacy is important to us.
