Join Our Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner Neonatology in Bismarck, ND

Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for neonatal care? We are seeking an experienced locum Neonatology Nurse Practitioner to provide vital coverage in a Level 3 NICU setting. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level neonatal care within a Level 3 NICU, including intubation, central line placement, peripheral arterial lines, and attending high-risk deliveries.
• Perform ground and air (fixed-wing) transports, ensuring safe and effective transfer of neonatal patients.
• Collaborate with support staff and utilize the EPIC EMR system to deliver seamless patient care.
• Cover predominantly night shifts from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM, mainly Friday through Monday.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in North Dakota.
• Demonstrated experience in neonatal or critical care nursing.
• Competence in performing advanced procedures such as intubation, central line insertions, and high-risk deliveries.
• Ability to perform both ground and air neonatal transports (fixed wing).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work night shifts on an ongoing basis.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Previous experience working in a Level 3 NICU setting.
• Certification in neonatal resuscitation (NRP).
• Experience with EPIC EMR or similar electronic medical records systems.
• Prior transport experience for neonatal patients.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master s degree in Nursing or higher.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in neonatal or pediatric critical care.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to perform both ground and air neonatal transports.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts from August 12, 2025, onward.
• Random travel and lodging arrangements are considered, with all travel expenses and accommodations handled per facility preferences.
• Certifications in BLS, NRP, and related fields are required.

Compensation and Schedule:

• Hourly Rate: $87.10
• Shift: Night shifts, 16 hours per shift (3:00 PM 7:00 AM), primarily Friday through Monday.
• Ongoing coverage with specific dates including 11/7-11/10, 11/14-11/17, 11/27-12/1, and 12/5-12/8.
• Support staff available; orientation rate of $85/hour after 8 hours.
