Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring adult and pediatric ED experience, with ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital Emergency Department serving both adult and pediatric patients
- Staff-to-patient ratio is 1:4
- 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three shifts per week
- Every other weekend and every other holiday are required
- General ED combined adult/pediatric setting experience required
- First-time travelers are accepted for this role
- Responsibilities include triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy in ED
- Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a different rate
- Holiday coverage is expected as part of the schedule
Requirements
- Active RN license in MD or compact state required
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
- Skills in triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy required
- TNCC, CPI, and MAB certifications preferred
- Charge experience preferred
