RN - ICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float between ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU units across both campuses
• Include inpatients holding in ED as needed
• First to float designation with flexible scheduling requirements
• Night shift may accommodate block scheduling preferences
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score prior to contract signing
• At least 1 year ICU experience required
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Required to interpret telemetry strips independently
• Work with common patient diagnoses including geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-procedural cardiac patients, post MI, post Cardiac Cath, and CABG post-op day 3-4
• Manage respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow
• Unit assignments communicated 2 hours prior to shift start via text message
• Standby requirement possible during shifts with excessive staffing
• Holiday requirements include traveler participation in permanent staff rotation
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Dress code: solid color professional scrubs transitioning to navy scrubs in October
• 8-hour general hospital orientation plus 24 hours of unit-specific training
• Charting system: Cerner
• BSN not required
