Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position in California, requiring 3 years of L&D experience and California RN licensure.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital
- Patient care includes laboring mothers and postpartum women
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
- Must be flexible to work weekends as required by contract length
- Float to Mother Baby Unit as needed
- May be required to float to other facilities within the state
- Utilizes Epic EMR system
- Scrub color is any color
- Provide comprehensive care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Support and educate patients and families throughout the birthing process
- Team environment with potential to float to similar units at other facilities
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Free parking is available
- RTO (time off) requests must be included at time of application
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Travelers cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Minimum of 3 years current L&D nursing experience
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced
- Former permanent staff must have a 3-month separation before applying as a traveler
- Must provide at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of L&D employment within the last three years
- Epic EMR experience required
- Precepting skills preferred
