Seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterology Physician to provide inpatient hospital care including consults and endoscopic procedures on a locum tenens basis starting mid-December 2025. The role involves managing 4-12 hospital-based patients daily, performing required procedures such as colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, biopsies, and esophageal manometry interpretation, with no outpatient expectations. The position requires an active Massachusetts medical license, BLS certification, and experience with EPIC EMR system; ERCP certification is preferred but not mandatory.

- P ractice Setting: Inpatient Call Structure at Hospital approx 1:4 Fri 4pm-Fri 4pm Floor/ED/ICU/emergent consults and endoscopies (when needed) Carry Beeper overnight Outpatient-TBD and will know more early next week
- Reason for Coverage: Retirement
- Dates of Coverage: Start mid Dec 2025 until we find perm placement physician

- Will Outpatient Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine be Required? No
- Average Number of Office/Clinic Patients Per Locum Per Day: unknown at this time if output coverage is required-will amend as soon as i know

- with Biopsy
- with Foreign Body Removal
- with Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser)
- with Injection of Varices
- with Banding of Varices
- Diagnostic
- Therapeutic
- with PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
- Board Certified/Board Eligible - REQUIRED BC preferred
- ACTIVE MA LICSENSE - REQUIRED
