Description:
ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED!
- Staffing ratios - goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5
- Weekends - variable based on unit needs
- No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff
- *Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule
- *First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor
- If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department's needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.
- 2 Years of Experience Required
- EPIC
- Certifications Required: BLS
- Certifications Preferred: ONS Chemo
- Patient Age group: Adults, Geriatrics
- Floating required to other MedSurg Oncology units
- PREVIOUS TRAVEL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED!
Patient Diagnoses
- The most common diagnoses include all subtypes of the following:
- Breast Cancer
- Lung Cancer
- Prostate Cancer
- Pancreatic Cancer
- Colon Cancer
- Esophageal Cancer
- Encounter for antineoplastic chemotherapy
