As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access points to help control entry and exit, maintaining awareness of the environment in a government setting.
- Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift as required by Allied Universal protocols.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when necessary, following established protocols.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to clients and the public within the government location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
