Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery/Mother Baby position in a rural healthcare setting with strong assessment and electronic fetal monitoring skills required.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Critical Access Hospital setting with a designated Level I Maternal and Neonatal Care department
- Assigned to Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum, Nursery, and Obstetrics roles
- Department averages 15-20 deliveries per month
- Typical staffing is a two-person team covering all unit roles
- Night shift schedule
- Uses OBIX EMR system
- Responsible for all aspects of L&D, postpartum, antepartum, nursery, and lactation care within a small team
- Ability to function independently and perform multiple roles is essential
- Travelers with RV housing may find accommodation easier due to local housing challenges
- No COVID-19 vaccination requirement is specified

Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby nursing experience
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS, NRP, and ATT
- Preferred certifications: CPI, ENPC, RNFA, TNCC, AWHONN, NIHSS, STABLE, ASLS, NBSTSA, APHON, CMA, CCMA, RMA, C-EFM
- Strong assessment and electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) skills required
- Rural healthcare experience preferred
