Travel Nursing Job Details

• Setting: Medical/Surgical Unit (Medical Unit 4)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (NOC), every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel RN Contract
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1840 - $1980

Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (2 attempts permitted)
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient care skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult patients on the Medical/Surgical unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing procedures as prescribed
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, discharge instructions, and post-hospital care
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
