Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Acute Neuro Unit night shift position requiring a GA or compact RN license and BLS and NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Acute Neuro Unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 7pm to 7am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract assignment
• Assignment involves care for neuro-medical surgical patient populations
• Must work at least one major winter holiday (Christmas Day or New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve) during the contract
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Permanent staff returning as travelers must have a 2-year gap before consideration
• Holiday and time off requests must be submitted up front; requests after offer are not accepted
• Strict credentialing process with all documentation required prior to start

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the specialty
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification is preferred
