Seeking a licensed family practice physician for a locum tenens position in Sacramento, CA, primarily covering virtual and in-person visits across multiple clinics. The role requires proficiency with Epic EMR, an active CA medical license and DEA registration, and involves treating all patient ages with typical family practice duties excluding certain procedures like IUD placements. The contract is full-time preferred but part-time considered, lasting 6 to 9 months starting September 2021, with a daily patient volume of approximately 20.
Location: float position to various clinic locations in Sacramento, CA area will be covering virtual visits at various locations including express care Schedule/Hours: M F 8a 5p No Call May involve some weekends full time availability is ideal but Client may consider part time availability if it is consistent and sizeable, like two weeks out of every month Ideal start: 9/27/2021 (sooner if Credentialing timeline & Client interest in Provider permits) End date: 6-9 month contract Profession: MD Specialty: Primary Care / Family Practice BCFM/FP: Required Active CA License & DEA: required no licensing candidates. Client needs a locum that has an active DEA and can prescribe narcotics. Patient Ages: all ages will see pediatrics Patient Volume: 20 patients per day EMR: Epic (recent experience/proficiency is a requirement) Must complete and close charts every day Support Staff: Medical Assistant Special Procedures: bread & butter Family Practice, no injections, no IUD placements but may have IUD removals, normal expectations. Provider must bring their own Stethoscope. If Provider prefers to wear a lab coat, they will need to bring their own since that is not supplied by Client. Credentialing timeline: 6 8 weeks must be clean in all respects - a dismissed case isn't necessarily benign issue to this Client. Bilingual: not required
