We are seeking an experienced and visionary cardiac surgeon to lead and elevate our Minimally Invasive and Robotic Cardiac Surgery Program to new levels of excellence.
Our center features a robust Hybrid Coronary Revascularization Program and a seamless heart team approach that integrates cardiology, cardiac surgery, and advanced imaging.
The position is academic through the University of South Florida (USF) Morsani College of Medicine, offering full faculty appointment and opportunities for teaching, research, and leadership.
USF was recently ranked public university in Florida and in the nation for research by the National Science Foundation, underscoring its national prominence and commitment to academic innovation.
Tampa General Hospital (TGH) - the primary teaching hospital for USF - is ranked in the nation for transplants, completing 889 transplants in 2024, a new national record. Since 1974, TGH has performed over 14,000 transplants, more than doubling its annual volume in the last six years.

Extensive background in Robotic Mitral Valve Surgery with 3 - 5 years of dedicated experience
Demonstrated leadership and innovation in robotic cardiac surgery program development
Proven interest in academic research, with rich opportunities for collaboration through USFs growing translational and clinical research infrastructure
Active involvement in resident and medical student education expected
Commitment to multidisciplinary, team-based care and excellence in outcomes
