Requirements:
- 35 hours/week, Mon-Fri, day shift. Typically 8-4:30, but flexible. No weekend or call requirements.
- Outpatient facility. Average number of patients seen per day is 10-12.
- Must have a min of 1 year experience.
- Required: Graduate of an accredited Master’s or Au.D. Audiology Program, licensed by State of Massachusetts as Audiologist.
- Current BLS/CPR-AHA.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA.
- Experience with Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing in neonates and/or vestibular testing (VNG) is preferred but not required.
Duties
- The audiologist will provide comprehensive hearing care for patients across the lifespan—from newborns to geriatric populations.
- Core responsibilities include performing traditional and advanced diagnostic hearing tests, evaluating vestibular function, and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- The role also involves educating patients and caregivers on hearing loss and strategies to improve communication, while maintaining compliance with state, hospital, and departmental documentation standards.
- Additional duties include reviewing test results, conducting hearing aid evaluations and fittings, and managing hearing aid purchases.
