Job Details:
• Must start on 1/5

• Must have active VA/Compact license at submission
• Work on 6 Front Telemetry, Med Surg, Trauma unit
• 33-bed unit with 55 staff members
• Patient ratios of 5 to 6:1
• Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, unit secretary, 7-8 RNs, and 2-3 PCTs
• Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, unit secretary, 7-8 RNs, and 2 PCTs
• Equipment includes EKG, code cart, Welch Allyn vital machines, vascular Doppler, wound vacs, Cultura Link interpreting services, and Carescape monitors for rhythm monitoring
• Electronic medical record system: Meditech
• Required certifications: BLS & ACLS
• Must pass basic rhythm test
• Preferred qualifications: Medical Surgical experience and excellent patient focus
• Typical procedures include small I&Ds, peritoneal dialysis, and occasional thoracentesis
• Ideal candidate has high energy and positive attitude
• Dress code: Navy scrubs required, no cotton jackets, dress code strictly enforced
