Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with recent Level 1 or 2 trauma experience and a NH or compact license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a large, high-tech hospital OR suite with 26 operating rooms
- Care provided for both inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures
- Patient population spans neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric cases
- Surgical specialties include ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, oral surgery, neuro, robotics, vascular, cardiac, and thoracic surgery
- Day shifts, 4x10 hours per week
- On-call requirement of 4 to 5 shifts per 13-week contract, which may be 12-hour shifts or on-call, day or night
- Participate in multidisciplinary surgical teams for a wide range of surgical cases
- Work with advanced technology and equipment in a modern OR suite
- Must maintain all required licensure and certifications throughout the assignment
Requirements
- Active NH or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 3-4 years recent OR nursing experience
- Must have recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma OR experience within the last 2 years
- Current BLS certification required
- No local candidates accepted; must live at least 75 miles from the facility
