Position Overview

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA monitors patient progress, adjusts treatments as needed, and communicates outcomes to the supervising therapist.

Essential Duties

• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, ambulation, and use of supportive devices.

• Administer treatment plans per Physical Therapist directives.

• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

• Participate in care conferences, staff meetings, and trainings as required.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year PTA experience – Required

• Skilled Nursing or Rehab experience – Required

• BLS certification – Required

• Active PTA license – Required
