Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

• Location: Portsmouth, NH 03801 (New Hampshire nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026)
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Shift: 8 Hour Days (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2280 - $2450
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Open Positions: 2 Cardiac Stepdown RN roles
• Call Requirement: Approx. one weekend per month and 2-3 days per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (NH or compact state)
• At least 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac, Vascular, or Thoracic Operating Room (OR) nursing
• Ability to respond to on-call requirements within 30 minutes
• Strong teamwork, flexibility, and punctuality
• Self-motivated and collaborative healthcare professional
• Preferred: Scrub experience in Cardiac and Vascular cases
• Preferred: Experience with Meditech EMR

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in Cardiac Stepdown and CVOR units
• Work collaboratively with RNs, Scrub Techs, and Anesthesia Techs
• Assist with and scrub for cardiovascular procedures: CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid endarterectomy, fistula creation/interventions, VATS, thoracotomy, fem-pop bypass, angiograms with interventions, LVAD, RVAD, and ECMO
• Support Level 2 trauma coverage for vascular and thoracic procedures
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Meditech EMR
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotation
• Comply with unit policies and dress code (scrubs provided)
