Summary
The Ingot Equipment Shift Leader provides frontline leadership to the Ingot Equipment Technician team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of ingot manufacturing equipment. This role oversees daily maintenance activities, coordinates staffing and workflow, ensures compliance with procedures, and supports troubleshooting and continuous improvement. The Shift Leader plays a key role in maximizing equipment uptime, developing team members, and supporting collaboration across departments.

This role oversees daily maintenance activities, coordinates staffing and workflow, ensures compliance with procedures, and supports troubleshooting and continuous improvement. The Shift Leader plays a key role in maximizing equipment uptime, developing team members, and supporting collaboration across departments.
Responsibilities
- Lead shift technicians performing equipment maintenance, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- Oversee staffing, attendance, shift assignments, and performance supervision.
- Prioritize maintenance activities, allocate resources, and communicate updates to leadership.
- Monitor equipment conditions, escalate critical issues, and support advanced troubleshooting.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Production, Engineering, Facilities, and other teams.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Review and submit maintenance logs, reports, work orders, and other documentation.
- Provide coaching and training to support technician skill development.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and parts usage.
- Perform shift-level administrative duties and other tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical education in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in equipment or industrial maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in manufacturing.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, strong communication, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work across departments and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with automated equipment or automation-line maintenance.
- Previous shift lead, team lead, or senior technician experience.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems, preventive maintenance programs, and reliability tools.
- Work occurs in a large manufacturing environment with exposure to mechanical equipment, noise, and temperature changes.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs to support maintenance needs.
- Ability to work a rotating or fixed shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
