An Emergency Medicine Physician is required in Mt. Pleasant, MI to provide 24-hour coverage with shifts rotating every 12 hours. Candidates must be Board Certified, licensed in Michigan, and have at least 2 years of ER experience. The role includes supervising midlevel providers, responding to emergency codes, and coordinating patient care within a Level 4 trauma designated emergency department.

Provide information on support staff, APP coverage, number of providers on the team: we have one full time Midlevel and 2 prns. we have 4 full time physicians and one prn
Average patient volume per day: 54

Will the locum Physician be required to supervise other health care providers: just the midlevel on duty
Does ED staff respond to house codes: Yes,
Are house codes secondary to ED emergencies: Yes, we also have hospitalist responding and running the codes. Anesthesia available for backup during the day. we attend codes to provide airway support
Who writes admission orders: hospitalist handles admissions mostly. if we are putting in orders it is just a pso to order bed and some limited bridging orders.
Are deliveries received in ED or sent directly to Labor & Delivery: L and D has a clinic
Is ED responsible for monitoring/supervising Paramedics/ambulance by radio: yes
Ambulance response time & travel referral facility: MMR , varies. sometimes delays even for critical transfers.
Air ambulance response time & travel time to referral center: Saginaw has helicopter as well as Corewell GR. both can get here in around 20-30 min
24 hour availability for Radiology: no MRI, CT, XR, yes.
24 hour availability for Laboratory: Yes

- Board Certified in either EM or FP with ER experience (2+ years)
- Please include address at time of presentation
- Provider must be local, no exceptions
- Must have clean background for quick credentialing
- Provider needs to provide available dates provided at time of presentation
- DEA - verbal confirmation at time of name clear
- MI License (not accepting IMLC)
- ACLS/ATLS/PALS (for non EM Boarded physicians)
- BLS
