The Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner provides independent, comprehensive medical care to high-acuity patients during home visits, collaborating with a Medical Technician. The role involves managing complex cases, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth care transitions to reduce emergency room visits. This position requires 2+ years of urgent care or emergency room experience and involves 10-hour shifts with variable start times.
You will be travelling with a Medical Technician, and you do not need to use your own car
Schedule:
-10-hour shifts, 3-4 shifts per week (every other weekend)
-6 Months with potential for long term.
-Start times vary between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM
-Caseload: 7-10 in home patient visits per day
Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician Assistant Responsibilities:
-Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with high acuity and complex health issues.
-Work independently to manage patient cases, leveraging urgent care or ER experience.
-Collaborate with the team to ensure effective patient care and treatment plans.
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
-Ensure seamless transition of care for patients to avoid frequent ER visits.
Qualifications:
-Experience 2+ years urgent care or emergency room settings is ideal due to the high acuity and complexity of the patients.
