• Unit: 7H Oncology Unit
• Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse assignment
• Start Date: November 24, 2025
• End Date: February 21, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours: 36 hours/week (3x12 hour shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• On Call: No on-call required
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2130-$2190

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of oncology nursing experience or relevant clinical experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active Illinois RN license in good standing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Oncology RN Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, professional care to oncology patients using the nursing process
• Perform all duties required by the oncology unit and scope of service
• Implement procedures and best practices in oncology nursing
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and clinical support activities
• Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Modify care plans based on ongoing evaluation and patient needs
• Promote patient and staff safety by identifying and correcting hazards
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
• Support professional development of peers through feedback and mentorship
• Identify personal learning needs and pursue continuing education
• Meet all departmental competency requirements for oncology nursing jobs
