We are seeking a qualified and experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to join a dedicated team for a locum tenens position in a modern facility located near Wauchula, Florida. Key Details: Location: Near Wauchula, FL Facility: State-of-the-art emergency department Position Type: Locum Tenens Specialty: Emergency Medicine Start Date: June 1, 2024 Duration: 3-month assignment (with potential for extension) Shifts: 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends Minimum Shift Requirement: 6-8 shifts per month Job Responsibilities: Provide emergency care in a fully renovated, modern emergency department. Manage a variety of cases with support from Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) during peak times. Participate in the care of up to 20,000 patients annually in a busy ED. Work in a dynamic environment with access to MRI, CT scan, X-ray, and Ultrasound. Provide care for primary stroke patients as part of an AHCA Primary Stroke Center Designation. Qualifications: Board Certification Required: ABEM or AOBEM (Board Certified in Emergency Medicine). Alternative certifications considered: Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with at least 2 years of current Emergency Medicine experience. Flexibility to work at both the main hospital and affiliated FSER locations. Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
