Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring night shifts, current MD or compact RN license, and advanced certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting
- Night shifts (4x12 hours, 19:00-07:00)
- Primary patient ratio is 1:1-2
- Floating required to Postpartum, Couplet care, and Level II NICU 'feeder/grower' assignments
- Cerner EMR used for charting
- Every other weekend is required
- Magnet Certified facility
- Scrubs provided
- Must be able to provide care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and couplet care stages
- May be assigned triage, perform sterile vaginal exams, and provide Baby Friendly hospital care; these are highly preferred skills
- First time travelers accepted
- Candidates will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license
- 3 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required; may consider candidates with 2 years
- Charge and preceptor experience required
- Certifications: BLS, NRP, Intermediate AWHONN
- C-EFM through NCC required or must register during compliance phase or within first two weeks
- LDRP, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and couplet care experience required
- Ability to circulate for C-section procedures
- Flu vaccine required for all employees
