Job DescriptionAn Operating Room Technician with experience in cardiovascular/open heart procedures is required. The OR Tech operates under the general supervision of the OR Manager/Surgery Center Manager and is an integral member of the OR Team. This role involves scrubbing for surgical cases and collaborating with surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesiologists, certified nurse anesthetists, and other ancillary support personnel.
Responsibilities- Scrub for surgical cases in cardiovascular/open heart procedures.
- Handle instruments, supplies, medications, media, specimens, and instrument cases.
- Assist in maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room.
- Proven experience in cardiovascular/open heart surgery.
- Credentialing documentation including health history, physical/health statement, and annual TB questionnaire.
- Licensure and certifications as required by the state and facility regulations.
