Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations on each child prior to prescribing psychotropic medication
- Treat mental health disorders in adolescents and teens using medication and psychotherapy
- Coordinate patient care with Nurse Practitioner and ancillary providers
- Work with support staff to authorize prescription refills and medication changes
- Review and approve course of treatment
- Prepare written medication reviews at least every 45 days
- Attend virtual care coordination meetings
- Address urgent patient issues that arise outside of visits
Additional Information
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a psychiatrist required
- Must have lived and practiced exclusively in California for the past 5 years
- Experience working with adolescents, teens, and CSEC patients required
- California medical license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- EMR system: Epic
