• Location: Shelby, NC 28150 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Unit
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (8/25/2025 – 11/22/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910 per week
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Holiday Expectations: Work 75% of holidays during contract
• Scrub Color: Green, hospital issued
• Parking: Free

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience, including LDRP
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM certifications required
• Proficient in labor management, circulating cesarean sections, pre-op, PACU, triage, newborn resuscitation, Pitocin and epidural management
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Ability and willingness to float within region and scope of practice
• First-time travel nurses not accepted

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns
• Manage labor and delivery processes, including triage and LDRP care
• Circulate and assist in cesarean sections; provide PACU care
• Perform newborn resuscitation and immediate postnatal care
• Administer and manage medications such as Pitocin and epidurals
• Document all patient care in Epic EMR system
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including charge nurses, phlebotomy, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists
• Float to other healthcare facilities within the region as needed
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and satisfaction
