Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring at least 2 years of circulating experience, ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications, and OR expertise.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Operating Room setting with four OR suites
- Ambulatory OR and general OR cases including Ortho, GYN, Urology, General, Cataracts, Pain injections, ENT, and OB
- Daily caseload of 5-10 surgical patients
- Day shifts, Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
- No scheduled weekend shifts
- Call rotation required with every 3rd weekend and 1-2 weekday on-call shifts as scheduled
- Altera EMR experience preferred but not required
- Responsibilities include circulating for a variety of surgical specialties
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary surgical team
- Participation in call rotation including some weekend and weekday coverage
- Scrub attire per standard OR dress code
- Candidates with Altera EMR experience are preferred
Requirements
- Active IA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years OR nursing experience with circulating duties, 3 years preferred
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Ambulatory OR and general OR experience required
- Experience with ENT, Endo, GYN, podiatry, and Ortho procedures preferred
- First time travelers will not be considered
