This role involves performing Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams and separation health assessments primarily for veterans at multiple locations within 50 miles. The practitioner conducts interview-based evaluations along with some physical assessments focused on musculoskeletal, diabetes, cardiovascular, and respiratory conditions without prescribing treatment. The position is PRN with flexible scheduling options, requiring DMA certification and proficiency in specific clinical testing methods.

Must be within 50 miles
VES facility open locations
- Chico- 10 days per week needed (multiple providers)
- Eureka- 10 days per week needed (multiple providers)
- Ridgecrest- 10 days per week needed (multiple providers)
Provider s own office locations- Provider must have their own office
- Susanville- 1 day per week needed
- Crescent City- 2 days per week needed
- Ft Irwin- 1 day per week needed
1099 compensation:
-$400 for half day (4 hours)
-$950 for full day (8 hours)
-$650 for completing all required training and starting assignment
Details:
- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- Willing to accept these specialties: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, etc, or anyone with a background in general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension.
- Two (2) options for coverage - Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility and/or schedule Veterans within your own practice
- Option to work days(4-hours) and/or full days(8-hours)
- One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- Quick credentialing & onboarding
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
The provider will need to complete their DMA training.
