Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for Home Health with an active CA license and BLS certification required.
Responsibilities
- Home health setting providing therapy to patients in their residence
- Day shift schedule with five 8-hour shifts, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Serves a diverse patient population requiring rehabilitative care
- Main responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing rehabilitative programs to improve mobility and function
- Responsible for providing clinical supervision and serving as a clinical instructor for assigned students
- Must adhere to all privacy and safety regulations in care delivery
- Compliance with a 50-mile radius rule is required
- Returning employees must have a 1-year break before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Only one holiday will be approved for requested time off during the assignment
- Must be available to complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
Requirements
- Current CA State Physical Therapy License required if applicable
- Active BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
- Ability to clinically supervise assistants and aides
