Gastroenterology Locums Physician in North Carolina

This GI assignment is based in North Carolina, within driving distance of Asheville Regional Airport (AVL).

Highlights:

• Only 1 to 2 weeks per month, you pick the blocks
• High procedure volume with full autonomy
• Temp privileges available for faster onboarding

Practice Setting:

• Two hospital sites with inpatient and outpatient mix
• RN and MA support, no APPs
• EMRs: McKesson and Athena

Schedule:

• Scheduled clinical hours with 24 hour beeper call
• 30 minute response time
• Average 3 admissions and 3 consults per day

Cases and Procedures:

• Bread and butter GI plus advanced cases
• ERCP, EUS, PEG, liver biopsy required
• Includes endoscopy, variceal injection, polyp excision

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• North Carolina medical license required
• BLS certification

Travel Accommodations:

• Flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage all covered
