We are seeking a Board-Certified Neonatologist to lead our 3-physician, 2-NNP NICU practice in Newport News, VA. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of neonatal care in a growing community while enjoying a flexible schedule and work-life balance.
About the Role- Lead an 8-bed Level IIIA NICU, with a growing newborn service supporting 1,800 annual deliveries.
- Exciting expansion plans: A new 47,000-square-foot Birth Place with 13 NICU beds, including private rooms.
- Responsibilities include prenatal consults, NICU coverage, newborn coverage, and delivery attendance.
- Flexible coverage model:
- Each Neonatologist covers one-third of shifts per month, splitting in-house and at-home call.
- Work alongside a skilled team of neonatal nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
- Opportunities for quality improvement projects, regional collaboration, and leadership development.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- Not accepting visa or locum candidates.

Requirements- Board Certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (REQUIRED)
- Virginia medical license (or willingness to obtain) (REQUIRED)
- Leadership experience in a prior role (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
