Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of recent experience and active licensure for an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an acute care and outpatient physical therapy unit
- Schedule is Monday through Friday with 8-hour day shifts and occasional weekend inpatient coverage
- First to float within unit as needed
- EMR system used is Cerner; previous experience preferred
- Role involves coverage of both acute care and outpatient settings with potential weekend duties for inpatient coverage
- 12 hours of orientation provided at the start of assignment
- All certifications must be active at the time of consideration; pending documents not accepted
- Candidates who have been employed by affiliated CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities in the past year are not eligible
- Professional attire or scrubs as required by the unit
- Applicants may be asked to float between related care areas based on staffing needs
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent physical therapy experience required
- Active state or compact (NLC) PT license required; pending licenses will not be accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Copy of driver’s license must be provided for consideration
- Two professional references required: one supervisor reference from within the past 12 months, and one peer or supervisor reference from within the past 3 years, with dates of employment and rehire eligibility
